Adeniyi Akanni (PhD, MSc, MBA, BSc, CISA, CRISC, ITIL, ISO27001LI&LA)
He has more than two decades of wide range experience in the field of Information Systems Auditing, internal control, and strong background in banking operations. He has been involved in audit engagements, compliance projects and risk assessments of bank branches: developing internal control policies and procedures.
Through his experience, he was able to be part of several organizational change, as an auditor in charge of the implementation of ISO 27001 standards and its implementation, Business Process Reengineering, automation, in connection with the Business Strategy and played an active role in Nigerian electronic fraud forum and served as a Risk Officer for Interswitch, MasterCard and VisaCard.
His rich blend of hands-on experiences with academic passion have helped in guiding his students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He holds a PhD (Computer Science - Information Security) with key certifications including CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 LI/&LA, ITIL among others. He had served as the HOD (Computer Science, Cyber Security and Software Engineering). He has mentored students and birthed GDG with over three thousand member students across various Departments and Colleges. He is a researcher. An Associate Professor of Computer Science and Cyber Security, he currently serves as the Ag. Director of ICT in Caleb University Lagos
